France in Manila with Sheraton Manila Bay

SHERATON Manila Bay presents “Tour de France du Vin 2023” in partnership with Le Cellier French Wine Selection. This wine and dinner event is scheduled for Oct. 28, at 7 p.m., in the Manila Bay Kitchen. For P3,800 net per person, attendees will be transported to the heart of France through a selection of 22 premium wines sourced from the South of France, Beaujolais, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Rhone Valley, and the Southwest of France. Wine expert Bernard Flour, owner of Le Cellier French Wine Selection, will be on hand to guide attendees in learning about the wines’ origins, varietals, and the art of perfect pairings. The culinary adventure doesn’t end with wine as there will be a dinner buffet showcasing authentic French regional specialties such as Coq au Vin, Ratatouille, Bouillabaisse, Pissaladière, Gratin Dauphinois, and more. Throughout the evening, live entertainment featuring French music will serenade guests in the lobby. Sheraton Manila Bay is located at M. Adriatico corner Gen. Malvar Streets, Malate, Manila.

Mama Lou’s Italian Kitchen offers endless plates of pasta

MAMA LOU’S Italian Kitchen is once again celebrating National Pasta Month and the opening of its 21st branch at SM City Clark with its Endless Pasta promo for P550, nationwide. Among the pasta on offer are Lucio’s Truffle Pasta, Truffle Mac and Cheese, Spaghetti Bolognese, Arrabbiata, Bucatini Amatriciana, Vongole Olio, and Pesto Al Pollo. The promo is ongoing until Oct. 27.

Gringo introduces Hungry Hombres

GRINGO is introducing the Hungry Hombre, new solo platter offerings in which customers choose one or two meats and their preferred carbs, served with a side of tacos or a Caesar salad, and paired with Gringo’s signature house-brewed iced tea. Hungry Hombre is available all day on weekdays. On offer are choices of Char-grilled Chicken, Ribs, Cuban Beef Lechon, and Crispy Catfish. The selection for carbs includes the classic Cuban rice or a choice between Angus Beef Linguine or Bacon Cream Fusilli. There are Gringo branches at Ayala Malls Feliz, The Fort, Makati, Festival Mall, Greenhills, MAAX, SM Fairview, SM Manila, SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, and SM Sucat. For those outside NCR, branches can be found in SM Baguio, SM Dasmariñas, SM Legazpi, SM Marilao, and SM Sta. Rosa. GrabFood launches plant-based option

GrabFood Philippines makes the search for plant-based food options easier for vegans and vegetarians with the launch of Grab Green, a new food category on the app exclusively featuring restaurants offering an array of plant-based culinary creations. Until Nov. 9, customers can earn stamps for every order they make on Grab Green. After collecting three stamps, users can claim a 25% off voucher for their next Grab Green order. Grab Green can now be found on GrabFood.

White chocolate the focus of DQ’s Blizzard of the Month

DAIRY QUEEN’s (DQ) Blizzard of the Month is the new White Chocolate Wonder Blizzard, available in four variants. There is White Choco Berry Blizzard, made with DQ’s signature vanilla soft serve blended with strawberry fruit topping and white chocolate chunks; White Choco Mocha Blizzard, made with vanilla soft serve, coffee concentrate, white chocolate chunks, and marshmallow bits; and White Almond Graham Blizzard, made with vanilla soft serve, white chocolate bits, crushed almonds and graham cracker chunks. Finally, there is the new White Chocolate Blizzard Cake, a 100% ice cream cake made with DQ’s signature fudge and crunch center resting on a base layer of vanilla soft serve, topped with another layer of vanilla soft serve that’s mixed with chunks of white chocolate, and then finished with frosting and garnished with strawberry topping. The new Blizzards are available in Mini, Regular, Medium, and Large starting at P89, while the White Chocolate Blizzard Cake is available in six-inch and eight-inch round cakes starting at P749.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf releases holiday collection

IT’S STAMP collection season once again as The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) Philippines introduces its Limited-Edition Holiday Collection, a new series of festive items that are available for 20 stamps on a redemption card. The theme for the holidays, #TogetherThisSeason, marks the last leg of their year-long 20th anniversary celebration. The collection consists of the Limited Edition Holiday Tumblers in three designs, Starlight, Daydream, and Gold Rush, as well as the addition of a Holiday Voyager Bag. All three Limited Edition Holiday Tumblers are insulated, made of stainless steel, and can keep drinks hot/cold for up to 12 hours. The improved Voyager Bag in Atlas comes with longer straps, additional pockets, and a laptop compartment in a new colorway. All of these are redeemable by collecting 20 stamps at CBTL starting on Oct. 27 until Jan. 7, 2023. Get one stamp each order of at least one regular-sized drink in-store or via delivery. The items can also be purchased straight up for P2,600 each. CBTL has also launched its Cookie Ice Blended Series of holiday beverages. This year they are Vanilla Cookie Ice Blended, Matcha Cookie Ice Blended, and Double Chocolate Ice Blended (all at P225 for regular stores). Select CBTL branches will bring back a holiday staple: Ube Cheesecake (P245/slice). They’re also releasing two new cakes — the Cookies & Cream Cake (P225/slice) and the Mocha Crunch Cake (P225/slice). CBTL has also introduced their 2023 Holiday Collectibles: quirky tumblers in Honeycomb, 16 oz (P899) or Solar, 16 oz (P799); Cold Brew Flask, 8 oz (P449); and new Holiday themed Swirl Rewards Cards (each at P195). A portion of the proceeds of the Limited-Edition Holiday Collection goes to the Real LIFE Foundation which helps empower underprivileged youth through education assistance, character formation, and leadership development.
